The fact that the dependence between theory and practice is a combination of shifts – not a straightforward process proves that this dependence is essentially partial. What it also indicates is that theory is always domestic and linked to a restricted area. Thus theory is multiplied owing to its interrelationship with applied analysis as it has to collaborate with other since hypotheses each of them multiplied by its reliance on applied analysis. We should not be tempted to think that all research in translation studies is directed toward the practice of translating, since many of the Houston German Translation theorists ask important questions as to what translation is and how it operates. Consequently, the major interest has fallen on a number of well-known topics, which will have to be explained to Miami Italian translation trainees. Eventually, a survey conducted with postgraduate students shows that they require a constant critical update of the discipline, one that is detailed and yet simpler that the what has been written so far.
